Via Artis Konsort is an international Early Music ensemble with an innovative repertoire, exploring the musical borderland of early classical music and related world music traditions. Via Artis Konsort explores the form and substance of the early music with a special emphasis on timeless concepts such as sonority, improvisation and pulse.
The ensemble is formed by skilled musicians from the Scandinavian countries, Spain and Latin America, with the city of Odense, Denmark as an official base. The ensemble was founded in 2006 and has been offering more than 300 concerts in Europe and Latin America since then. The musicians of the ensemble are all professional classical music performers.
Via Artis Konsort has released two critically awarded album on the independent record label PARLA son: Via Stellae (2008) and Crosswork (2012). Currently the ensemble is preparing an Opera Comics with beautiful dance songs from the 17th century (premiere spring 2016), part of the opera material will also be released on CD and video.
Via Artis Konsort tours regularly with its own concert programs although the ensemble is often invited to collaborate with other soloists, choirs, composers and institutions.
